Founded in 1977
Born on July 23, 1951 in Newark, New Jersey, Gene J. Goldsman, Esq. is the patriarch of a family, which now includes several prominent attorneys.
Gene’s rise to fame began in the 10th grade at Hillside High School in Hillside, NJ, when as an inspiring amateur musician he began to challenge discriminatory dress code policies and by doing so placed his academic future in jeopardy. Enraged, he voiced his opinion to the Vice Principal of the high school that what the school was doing was wrong. Just a few years later, as Gene predicted, these rules were overturned. This experience planted the seed for a zealous, young aspiring attorney.
In the spring of 1973, Gene graduated from Seton Hall University Cum Laude in South Orange, NJ and was accepted to Law School. At the age of 22, Gene drove cross-country to continue his education at Pepperdine Law School in California to study Torts under Professor Ronald Goldman, Esq., and Evidence from the Honorable Vincent Dalsimer and Honorable Harry Shafer.
Realizing his childhood dream, his law practice opened its doors in 1977 in Santa Ana, California where it remains today almost 38 years later, having blossomed into a large firm. The Law Office of Gene J. Goldsman now holds some of California’s top plaintiff attorneys. Specializing in personal injury and business litigation, we strive to protect and serve those who are harmed and in need of assistance. This office strives to provide the best assistance through our dedication, customer service, and most importantly through results.
The firm’s success has allowed expansion to include major cases against companies, corporations and individuals who have either breached large contracts, have commit fraud, employment, and personal injury. One of Gene’s most cherished memories was saving a long-time family friend and client $1,000,000 because of a debt which was ultimately deemed not enforceable with less than 10 hours of intelligent research performance. Gene made a deal with the company that he saved – “Every year just give me a few nice suits with great ties and exceptional shirts at your cost.” With a handshake this oral contract and token of appreciation and gratitude remains in effect today.
The firm also secured landmark decisions in the field of Insurance Bad Faith, which sets forth the obligations of an insurance company toward its insured, and recently in April 2015, which in a ruling helped determine the applicable statute of limitation for fall victims in a hospital. The Law Office of Gene J. Goldsman is considered by many to be pioneers in representing clients who suffer from Traumatic Brain and Head Injuries, Tinnitus, Spinal Injuries, Amputations, Brachial Plexus, Piriformis Muscle, and Peripheral Nerve Injuries.
Friends and families often refer clients due to their positive experiences and grand results. Our effort to continuously improve has allowed us to set the highest standards around and to receive some of the greatest settlements in the Southern California region.
